What can I say about Boomer and Katy? At first she was unsure about owning a dog, but from
the moment she met him, she fell in love. Steve didn’t want Boomer to be upstairs in the house (he didn’t want to whole house to smell like a dog). But he lost that battle. She wanted to take that little puppy to bed with her every night. Eventually, once he was completely potty-trained, he would come upstairs and jump in bed. During the night he would inevitably go sleep on Katy’s side of the bed.
He was her CONSTANT COMPANION. As a stay-at-home Mom he was always so glad that she was there with him. And she took him everywhere she went. If people saw Katy out and about they most always saw Boomer’s head hanging out the window right behind her.
One of her all-time favorite things about Boomer was getting him groomed. She always said “You’re so soft and pretty”, and she especially loved when the groomer crimped his ears (which you can see in Boomer’s picture above).
She especially loved to put him on the leash and take him with us to sporting events. When she walked him around she was so proud because everyone wanted to play with and pat such a good-looking dog.
Certainly one of the best pictures that was ever taken of Boomer and Katy was this picture below, taken at Mount Wachusett.
