In September of 2006 Matthew and I decided to take Boomer out for another hiking trip (since we all had so much fun on the last one!). We decided to go someplace that I had never gone before: Mt. Greylock in Western Massachusetts. It was a one-day overnight trip, we would drive out on a Saturday, and return on a Sunday.
We set up our tent at a campground near the base of the mountain, and began our hike up Hopper trail.
On the way up the trail we walked alongside a very pretty pond
At the top of Mt Greylock Matthew and Boomer posed by the inn.
Boomer and Steve posed near the tower at the top of Mt Greylock. We entered and climbed to the top of that as well!
Matthew and his buddy posed outside the monument, while Steve and Boomer enjoyed the beautiful view of the valley.
We took one last picture at sunset with the clouds moving in over the hills below, and then we hiked back down to our tent.
The following morning we hiked to a nearby waterfall and took some pictures……
Before we left for the day we drove out to another campground to see what it was like (in case we wanted to come back again!).
