In December of 2000 I got a call from Dianne McDonough telling us that Boomer was ready to be picked up. We brought him home and let him out into the side yard and he just started to romp! He was adorable. While we were outside our neighbors, Eloise and Laurel Saia, pulled into their driveway. They couldn’t believe how cute he was either.
Many of Boomer’s first days with us were spent in the kitchen. We tried to keep him on the linoleum floor in case he went to the bathroom. We got down on the floor with him and he crawled all over us. He was particularly curious about our faces and would try and climb onto us and have a sniff and a lick.
When we laid on our stomachs, Boomer would crawl up onto our backs and curl up. He would get tired and crash on the floor. Below is a great picture of him asleep on his back!
